Spring Quarter Farm Assistant position

Description: The Farm Assistants (FA) work with the Farm Manager to run GRuB's 3 acre market garden for the season. In the spring the FA's receives training in greenhouse production, field preparation, small-scale seeding and transplanting techniques, farm planning and record keeping, flower production and marketing, and various other early-season farm activities. One FA has the opportunity to continue into the summer season on a $400/mo stipend (plus veggies) but must commit through September. In the summer the FA helps to coordinate the planting and greenhouse schedules, participate in harvests, do general farm maintenance, work with community volunteers, and take on responsibilities in our marketing programs.
Work Study
We generally offer 2-3 work study positions. We’re currently full. New openings will be posted here.
Volunteer Opportunities

Wednesdays from 3-6pm

March – October

Feel free to pop by and get your hands dirty! Ready to be a super volunteer? We can arrange special days/times. Community service volunteers welcome. Youth under 14 please come with an adult. Volunteers are also invited to join our special youth-led volunteer days. This is a leadership training activity for our youth crew, so you would need to arrive at 1pm sharp and stay through until 4pm. It is important to arrive on time.
