Wetlands are some of our most rich and diverse landscapes. Teachers will experience an overview lesson on wetlands plants and their ethno-botanical uses, then will dive into individual plant activities including eating cattails, making cattail mats, creating a willow sculpture, making willow and cottonwood medicine and more! After morning hands-on activities at GRuB, we will venture to McClane Creek for an afternoon field trip. Teachers will bring home a curriculum with multiple lessons and samples of plants including a cattail mat.
