Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed trying to eat well on a budget and navigate through daily stress? You are not alone!
Around the Table is a free online course designed to explore individuals' unique ways of addressing these common challenges of everyday life. With this course, GRuB hopes to help strengthen the resilience of our community--one member at a time--through our relationship with food.
In this six-week course, a circle of participants will share personal stories around food, learn easy and quick mindfulness practices, share adaptable and simple recipe ideas, and brainstorm ways to bring more joy and health to our time with family and friends.
Around the Table is an offering in partnership with Washington SNAP-Ed to focus on nutrition and stress management. As a GRuB program, we will also bring in discussions around the garden whenever possible. For many, our backyard gardens are both a source of fresh, nutritious, great-tasting food, and a place to relax and rejuvenate.
The online course will meet every Thursday starting on July 8th and ending on August 12th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. For the first session only, we will meet 5:30-7:00pm to have an extra half hour to get to know each other.
We will be using Zoom conference room technology. You will need an internet connection either with your phone, tablet, or computer. You will receive information on how to login to class with a Zoom link when you register.
You can register for the course online here! For all your inquiries, please contact Megumi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to having you join this exciting opportunity to connect, share, and grow our community!
