We are excited to invite you to celebrate GRuB's 25th Anniversary with a day of action, community, and impact during our annual build-a-thon event, May There Be Gardens, on May 2, 2026!

Gather your coworkers, friends, or family and join a garden build team to support a family or individual on their food-producing, hunger-reducing journey. Together, all community teams will build 10 gardens in one day!

After the builds, return to the GRuB Farm for a community meal, music, and celebration!

How to participate

• Recruit 4-6 friends, family members, or coworkers for your build team. Your fundraising team can include many more!
• Fundraise This is one of the largest fundraisers for the GRuB Garden Project!  We are asking each May There Be Gardens! Team to set a fundraising goal of $1,000.
• Join us on the GRuB Farm for a light breakfast and orientation to the day, and meet your GRuB Staff Team leader.
• After the build, join in the celebration featuring storytelling from GRuB's 25-year history of garden building, music, and a community meal.
