Herbal Apothecary: Topical Remedies for First Aid

Embrace the healing gifts of the land! Learn to identify, harvest, process, and prepare many local plants that are useful for healing skin and relieving pain, and inflammation. We will create a mini-first aid kit with salves, topical spray, and herbal powders. Participants will receive a curriculum and tips on incorporating plant knowledge and medicine making into their own teaching environment.  Taught by members of the Tend, Gather and Grow team.

Limit 18 participants.

Registration closes June 2, 2023.

We are offering a sliding scale for this workshop. Pay what you can: $100 or $125. Proceeds will cover supply costs and support GRuB programs. We have a limited number of scholarships available for Indigenous educators, for inquiries email: Mariana at mariana@goodgrub.org.

If you are traveling from out of town, we suggest staying at the Squaxin Island Little Creek Casino Resort. They offer room discounts for tribal members.

This workshop is hosted at the GRuB farmhouse, there is one disability parking spot in front with a ramp on Elliott Ave and a ramp at the back entrance on Bing Ct. We will take a plant walk around GRuB, we can adapt to meet peoples need.
