Wild Food Traditions: Wild Spring Greens

Tuesday, March 15th 10:00-5:00pm, pay what you can: $100 or $125

Registration closes March 11, 2022.

Embrace the gifts of spring! Tasty edible greens including nettles, dandelion, chickweed, wild lettuces, salmonberry sprouts, violets, and big leaf maple blossoms. These nutritional superstars support our transition from winter into spring and promote vitality and attunement to the land. After a plant walk around the GRuB farm, we will prepare and sample a feast of wild foods. Bring outdoor gear, a notebook, and a basket or bag for harvesting. Participants will receive a curriculum that includes plant identification tips, sustainable harvesting techniques, nutritional values, medicinal uses, and recipes. Taught by members of the Tend, Gather and Grow team.

We are offering a sliding scale for this workshop. Proceeds will cover supply costs and support GRuB programs.

Classes subject to change based on COVID safety protocols.
