GRuB Garden Project's Fall Foraging Workshop

Fall is a great time to harvest hawthorn berries and dandelion roots. In this workshop we will share how to identify these two plants, offer harvest techniques, share their medicinal/nutritional benefits, recipes and demonstrate how to make a roasted dandelion root latte together. We will also share the social-emotional skills these plants teach us. Taught by Mariana Harvey (Yakama) GRuB Wild Foods and Medicines Program Coordinator.

During this workshop we will demonstrate how to make a roasted dandelion root latte. You are welcome to make one along with us. You will need roasted dandelion roots (we will also share in workshop how to do this, so you can wait and make latte after workshop), your milk of choice, sweetener if desired, a pot, spoon, stove and your favorite mug! See directions for this delicious recipe in the Dandelion Tend, Gather and Grow lesson here (scroll down until you see Dandelion).

Register for this workshop through the RSVP link above, or contact Megumi, at megumi@goodgrub.org
