With a full and grateful heart, I am writing today to let you know that the time has come for me to step aside and make room for the next generation of leadership to take the reins at GRuB.  In October, I will be stepping down from my role as Executive Director, but will continue in my role as an avid GRuB supporter and donor.  

GRuB’s  Board of Directors and staff are engaged fully in transition planning, alongside delivery of summer programs.  We don’t expect any interruption in services, programming or existing partnerships, and if you have any concerns or reservations about how my departure might affect you, or GRuB, you have my ear and I’d love to work with you to make this leadership transition seamless.  As we both know, this amazing organization has a life of its own that doesn’t depend on me, or any one person, but is truly rooted in community.  With the dedicated leadership of our Board and commitment of our staff, I have no doubt that this transition will catalyze exciting new opportunities for GRuB. 

 Our timeline and process for hiring a new Executive Director has not yet been spelled out, but we’re working on clarifying GRuB’s needs, desired skills & qualifications, and when it makes most sense to begin the recruitment process.  We will keep you apprised of that timeline when it is clarified, so that you can help share this opportunity with your networks.

Lastly, I want to let you know what a great honor this work has been for me, and how much I will cherish all that we have done together in our community over the past five and a half years. I look forward to continuing to improve local food systems in the next chapter of my professional life and to take all of the lessons I have learned from my incredible experience at GRuB, in community with you and many others, into my future life.
